With no cutting of cables or wires our MER-UTV-OEM2.5 interface provides seamless integration into your vehicle, a separate remote eye and remote control is also provided which will enable you to operate additional functions (such as teletext) via your TV tuner module and your on dash screen.

Please note; If your local area has not yet switched to digital, on installation of our MER-UTV-OEM2.5 upgrade digital TV system, you would lose your existing analogue TV facility as we require to disconnect your analogue TV tuner to fully integrate this digital upgrade kit with your vehicle.

Our Mercedes (MER-UTVS2) Twin TV Tuner Executive system 2 upgrade kit incorporates an AV interface cable that connects into your existing TV tuner. This interface provides 1 x AV input so you can connect your new digital TV tuner .
Our interface will then allow you to plug-in our MER-UTVS2 executive twin digital free view TV tuner and DAB (digital audio broadcast) radio receiver kit along with 2 x 5V feed active internal glass mount antennas (please note the TV tuner requires to be powered separately). It comes with a remote control and remote eye which will allow you to operate your new digital TV tuner menu via your front screen providing you with digital free to view DVB-T TV and DAB digital radio stations.

This latest 4th generation twin (DVB-T) TV tuner provides you with two TV antenna ports giving you the best chance of picking up and capturing clear and steady pictures in your vehicle. It incorporates a USB input which will allow you to play DiviX movies, connect a normal MP3 player and download WMA/AVi or music files onto a USB stick / dongle to play via your vehicle speakers with your track/play lists showing on your front screen. It also incorporates a further AV input (feed a separate DVD player into this for example), which will allow you have up to three separate AV sources TV, USB and DVD) for playing on and through your front screen. As this high end TV tuner also has 3 x video outputs you will have the facillity of feeding all of these AV sources into three additional monitors such as rear headrest screens. The TV tuner Dimensions are as follows: 150mm (L) x 125mm (D) x 40mm (H).

Hideaway Installation
On Installation, the TV tuner and all cables can be completely hidden from sight apart from a remote eye (the size of the nail on your middle finger) for the TV tuner remote control which requires to be fed inside the car and can then be fitted anywhere up front say on the dashboard or above the rear view mirror, aim your remote control at this and you can switch channels via the menu on your front screen. The sound from the TV tuner will be played as normal through your vehicle speakers.

These brand new 4th generation twin internal glass mounted antennas are best installed one in the middle of the top of the front windscreen and the other in the same position on the rear windscreen to provide full 360 degree signal capture coverage of the vehicle. These can however be installed on the rear quarter windows one on the left hand side and one on the right hand side. The width of the antennas are 144mm, Width 38mm and height is 7mm. These operate via a 5V feed directly from the TV tuner and will require to be switched on (green indicator LED on each antenna) via the on screen TV tuner menu.

This latest generation entry-level HD MPEG2 & MPEG4 (DVB-T) free view TV tuner comes complete with a plug and play (no separate power source required) 5V feed single internal glass mount antenna. it incorporates a USB input which will allow you to connect a normal MP3 player and download WMA or music files onto a USB stick / dongle to play via your vehicle speakers with your track lists showing on your front screen. UK Nationwide Installation & Fitting
If you are competent with car electronics, installation of the above full systems should take no more than 2 – 3 hours to complete, however, if you wish us to organise installation either at your place of work or at home, we should be able to arrange a local installer to come to you for this purpose – Minimum installation price £120 + Vat or £120 Cash, maximum installation price would be £160.00 + Vat or £160.00 cash on satisfactory completion.
